Coalition to Cure Calpain 3 (C3) was founded in October 2010 as a non-profit organization with a pinpoint focus: to fund high-potential scientific research while educating the global community about calpainopathy (limb-girdle muscular dystrophy types LGMD2A/R1 and LGMDD4).
Our founders Jordan Boslego, Kristine Kurnit, Lee Wrubel, and Michele Wrubel set out to build a coalition of motivated stakeholders to drive this mission. Every single day is a battle against muscle wasting, and everyone at C3 understands the urgent need for therapies.
Through a successful collaborative effort among patients, their families and friends, researchers, clinicians, advocates, and government and industry representatives, C3 has committed over $3 million to research projects focused on finding treatments, and ultimately a cure, for everyone living with this rare, progressive disease.
