C3 was proud to be a part of the International LGMD Conference which convened July 18-20 in Orlando, Florida. This event is hosted by the Speak Foundation and focuses on all subtypes of LGMD. Among the highlights:

  • Learning the latest news about LGMDs during sessions focused on Understanding Diagnoses and Genetic Test Reports, Current Drug Development Pathways, Advocacy Opportunities, Emerging Treatments, and more!
  • Reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones at our C3 Meetup for individuals and families affected by calpainopathy
  • Taking in the scientific poster session, where we learned about the latest LGMD research over wine and cheese.
  • Cheering during the awards ceremony, where Carol Abraham, Founder of the LGMD Awareness Foundation and member of C3 Board of Directors, received the LGMD Community Impact Award and Dr. Kevin Campbell, Professor and Chair, University of Iowa Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics and member of C3 Scientific Advisory Board was honored with the Scientific Excellence Award
